ANN BLACK
Professor of Law
"Tell me and I forget; teach me and I may remember; involve me and I learn."
This saying attributed to both philosopher Confucius (trad.551 – 479 BCE) and to scientist Benjamin Franklin (1707 -1790), encapsulates a learning approach in both the East and the West. In this website, I reflect on my endeavours to directly involve law students in this learning dynamic.

"Ann is a true teacher at heart – she wants nothing more than to support her students learning journeys the best way she can. This results in an openness and braveness in Ann’s pedagogy. She is eager to implement new, unfamiliar (and perhaps daunting!) technologies and strategies that will not only improve student’s performance but also their deeper learning. Her authentic approach to student experience translates into teaching excellence."
